NPL is the UK's National Metrology Institute, developing and maintaining the national primary measurement standards. It is a Public Corporation owned by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). In 2020 Optamor’s Project Resource Capability was selected by The National Physical Laboratory to provide a high-performing recruitment programme for a 3-month period. Their objective was to focus on key Science and Engineering areas/job roles, born from a reduced capacity of their direct recruitment team. This included an on-site presence as well as specialist direct sourcing supplied by our scalable and flexible delivery teams.
Optamor designed a project RPO solution to provide an effective, short-term but high-performing recruitment campaign. The project included the provision of an on-site Account Manager for a pre-agreed three days a week.

The provision of a named Account Manager to manage (for pre-identified areas/campaigns) stakeholder engagement, direct recruitment, and interface with specialist resource delivery team.

Customer provided administrative support to organise all interviews for the pre-determined roles, so these can be actioned swiftly and effectively

Over a three-month period, Optamor managed 45 role requirements from which we successfully placed 38 candidates. Optamor handled and reviewed a total of 787 applications, processed 113 first interviews and 43 second-stage interviews.
