Building new apprenticeship schemes for the recruitment industry
Optamor is part of the Serocor Group, which has been chosen to lead a group of ten UK recruitment companies during the third phase of the government’s successful Trailblazers apprenticeship scheme.
Trailblazers is an employer-led programme that aims to lead the way in developing new world class apprenticeships. We’ll be working with other recruitment companies and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) to design, develop and implement apprenticeship schemes for the recruitment industry.
Derek Goff, Learning & Development Manager at Serocor, has been appointed chair of the recruiters’ Trailblazers group. Commenting on his appointment and the Trailblazers programme, Derek said:
“The Trailblazers programme offers UK businesses a fantastic opportunity to shape the next generation of apprenticeship schemes – giving them increased value for both employers and apprentices. Our industry is thriving and we want to make recruitment a career of choice for school leavers by offering apprenticeships that lead to a clear career path driven by assessment and a nationally-recognised qualification.”
