How we saw things differently

Optamor has been in partnership with our customer, who is recognised as one of the UK’s leading technology systems integrators (principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services) since 1996. We were awarded Managed Service supplier status in 2002 and now manage in excess of £25 million of their recruitment spend. Optamor operates across multiple sites in the UK and EMEA to find talent that fits our customer’s brand and corporate philosophy.

RESETTLE THE FORCE OF OPTAMOR

Partnership with an external specialist was key to the success of the resettlement programme, working with a like-minded business gave our customer better access to those continuing their careers.

Working in partnership with our customer and the Career Transition Programme (CTP) we identified the need to improve the attraction of suitable candidates who were in the process of career transition from the Armed Forces.

A recruitment process specific to the needs of Armed Forces Resettlement was put in place which included:

  • Attending various armed forces liaison events in conjunction with the CTP to raise awareness
  • Providing content, advice and support in gathering testimonials for the new ex-forces web page
  • Created dedicated processes to support the resettlement process

The number of candidates directly engaging with relevant opportunities when they are considering career transition has improved significantly and they now have a far more defined and improved recruitment route into the business which meets their specific resettlement needs.
