Having supported this customer since 2002, Optamor were awarded full RPO status in 2010 for permanent recruitment. We are now responsible for managing all aspects of permanent recruitment working with the client to develop and promote their niche employer brand within a highly competitive and specialist candidate market. The Resourcing Solutions partnership encompassed all aspects of recruitment, including internal hiring, employee referrals and direct hiring, as well as the implementation and on-going management of an agile supply chain niche tertiary suppliers.
Operating in a highly competitive candidate scarce market and needing new team members in offices spread throughout the Midlands and Southern England the challenge was to attract highly skilled and accountable individuals. These skilled people could have their pick of workplaces in which to further their career. It was essential that the recruitment strategies we adopted ensured our customer was an employer of choice in the open candidate marketplace.
Recruitment strategy review and listening to both our customer's and the market's needs was the only way to achieve the outcome that was needed to deliver to recruitment demands.
With candidate and employee engagement being paramount to future growth and retention the implementation of the New Hire Engagement Survey gave excellent insights to the thoughts and feelings of all new hires and their experiences have helped shape future recruitment and HR initiatives. We sourced a wide range of skills for our client through a mix of direct sourcing, talent community build and management, the effective use of social media and the engagement of specialist agencies. However our involvement did not end there, we provided further provision in order to manage and support employee transitions beyond the on-boarding phase and to further promote employee engagement.
